American Building Science Network (ABSN)
To improve research coordination and communication of research we have decided to create the American Building Science Network (ABSN). Once a year, with at least four months notice, this network will hold a yearly seminar / forum. The ABSN is also representing US in the International Association of Building Physics.
To become a member of ABSN, a person (or persons) representing a research organization must declare personal commitment to share progress reports from the research (to the extent possible with a view to protecting proprietary information) and to collaborate with other members in the ongoing research activities.
We propose two categories of corporate members: a corporate member and a sponsoring member for those companies that are sponsoring research activities and particularly those meetings that are organized for the sake of research coordination.
The ABSN is chaired the person who organized the last yearly forum and vice-chair the person who is in charge of the coming seminar/ forum. All past chairs will have advisory role in organizing the ongoing activities of the ABSN.
American Building Science Network is to be created during the Building Science Forum 2005 in Chicago, October 7 and 8, 2005.
