- Develop i-BES for personal environmental control

- Develop integrated testbeds for testing, debugging, and optimizing i-BES

- Test atmosphere generator systems (TAGs) for sensor evaluation
- Coupled outdoor/indoor environmental simulator for testing new control algorithms
- A 6-zone testbed for evaluating multizone pollutant transport and control systems
- Thermal manikins for studying the microenvironment around human body and testing personal environmental control systems
- Total indoor environmental quality (TIEQ) simulator for studying indoor thermal, air quality, acoustic and lighting environments and their impact on human comfort and performance (under development)
